Intro

Dana Maxey
Growing up in a very stout republican home while being taught in a democratic charter school allowed me to come to the conclusion that I really have no strong political opinions because anywhere that I gained information was biased. Although this last election I did register to vote, I never thought that my opinion was educated enough to actually go vote in a state that is clearly dominated by one set of views. I got a 80% on the historical quiz, a 50% on the current events, and was told that I am a post-modern. So basically I can tell you of some historical politics, but have no grasp of anything recent. By using this blog for class, I would like to learn the functions of our government as well as more recent events so that I can be informed enough to make a rational decision based on my opinions in order to be an active in that aspect of our society.
